How WorkHook works

   Create a free profile

   Tap Work seekers, then Create a free profile. Enter your name, email, the country you live in and a password. Got a referral code? Type it in too.

   Tell employers about yourself

   Under My profile add a headline, a short summary, your skills, the job titles you want, your experience, qualifications (with NQF level) and references. Add a photo if you like - it only shows when you tick Show my photo.

   Casual or piece worker? No CV needed

   Tick I am a casual / piece worker. Tap Let us help you build your profile, answer a few easy questions, and the AI writes your profile and cover letter. People you work for can rate you out of 5 - you can reply, or report a false rating.

   Get found by employers

   Tick Let employers find me and you appear in Find workers, where employers search by skill, area and experience. Your public profile link (and PDF profile for members) can be shared anywhere.

   Find jobs or work

   On the home page choose Jobs, Work & tasks or Everything. Search by title or skill and filter by country, area, category, remote or in-house, full or part time, and NQF level.

   Apply or send a quote

   Open a listing and tap Apply now, or Send a quote for work like repairs. Write a few lines about your experience, and for work add your price and start date. If the listing has Must have items, confirm you meet them.

   Follow your applications

   The employer gets your application by email and you get a copy. My applications shows every status - Viewed, Shortlisted, Interview, Offered, Hired - plus interview times and video links.

   Advanced membership (optional)

   From R 29 a month: upload CVs and attach them when you apply, let AI build your profile from your CV, write a cover letter and short profile with AI, and download a smart PDF profile with a cover page.

   Boost yourself (optional)

   Boost my application puts you at the top of the employer's list for that job. Boost my profile puts you first in Find workers for 7 days, from R 20. The highest boost shows first.

Create my free profile

   Register once

   Tap Post a job or work. Choose A business or A private person. Private people get 3 free posts every month.

2. 2

   Post a job or work to be done

   Choose A job (permanent, contract, part time) or Work to be done (people send you quotes). Add a title, category, description, salary or budget, the closing date, Must have items and anything that is not acceptable.

   Find businesses and people in the Hello Pages

   The Hello Pages list local businesses, adverts and workers - filter by casual workers, area or profession, then call, WhatsApp or send a message. Your business is listed too: choose which contact details show, and report anyone who sends unwanted messages. Tap Add me to Hello Pages to list your business, your work profile or yourself as a private person (free), then Boost to move up or Spotlight to make your entry glow.

   High fives, vouches and badges

   Tap the high five hand next to any worker or business to give a high five, vouch for them (everyone gets only 3 vouches a month, so they mean something) or recommend a Skill & Service badge like "Always on time" or "Fair pay". A badge is awarded after 3 people recommend it and shows next to the name everywhere.

   Or search for workers yourself

   Open Find workers to see people who want to be found. When you are logged in you see full names and profiles, and can download their CV.

   Share your listing

   Every listing gets its own link and share picture, with WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and email buttons, so you can share it in your groups.

   Review applicants and quotes

   Applications arrive by email and in My jobs. Open each person to read their message, quote, CV and full profile, and contact them by email or WhatsApp. Boosted applicants are marked.

   Interview

   Mark people as Shortlisted or Interview and record the interview. Free video link creates a private video call - no app or account needed.

   Choose and close

   Set your choice to Hired and press Mark job as filled. Everyone who applied can see the outcome in their dashboard.

    Boost or repost (optional)

    Boost puts a live listing above all others in its category, from R 50. When a listing has closed, Repost makes a fresh copy with a new closing date.

Post a job or work

   Add your photos

   Open My adverts → My media and drag in your photos (up to 30). Only you can see your own images.

2. 2

   Build the advert

   Tap + New advert. Add a title, short line, category, price and area. Pick a ready-made design, change the words, add photos and your WhatsApp, phone or email.

   Publish

   You get 1 free advert every month, live for 30 days. Extra adverts cost R 29 for businesses and R 15 for work seekers.

   Share it everywhere

   Share on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram (a ready-made post and story picture), copy the link, or download a PDF to print or send.

   Be seen first

   Boost puts your advert above the others in its category for 7 days, from R 30. Renew it when it ends.

6. 6

   Find a service

   Anyone can search Adverts by what they need and where, then WhatsApp, call or email the advertiser directly. See something wrong? Tap Report this advert.

Place an advert

   Android

   Open WorkHook in Chrome and tap Install app at the top of the page. If you do not see it, open the Chrome menu (⋮) and tap Add to Home screen.

   iPhone

   Open WorkHook in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.

3. 3

   Use it

   Tap the WorkHook icon. It opens full screen with a menu at the bottom - for work seekers: Jobs, Work, Applied, Adverts and Profile; for employers: My jobs, Workers, Post, Adverts and Account.
